Sixties Town House

This end of terrace town house was part of a 1960s housing development by acclaimed architect and RIBA past president, Eric Lyons, and the company Span Developments.

Our brief was to refurbish the existing house and to open up the living space to the garden with a large glass sliding screen. A single storey side extension included a reception room, bedroom, shower room and utility room.

The original house was designed in a modernist style and set within a landscaped communal garden. A similar contemporary approach was required to complement the house’s character and enhance the openness, landscape and light.
